It's been quiet... 2 galleries stripped, 1 installed, 80+ objects treated, spoke at a conference, provided cons training, kept pests at bay... and many more things.

One of the many WWI items in our Conflict in Europe gallery is a rum jar from the trenches of the Western Front. Before going on display, it raised some interesting ethical questions for our team.

Busy day yesterday rearranging part of the @NAM_London object stores.
It included repositioning this interesting object, a tank turret!
We are hoping these move make accessibility of our large objects easier

Another busy week of Europe Gallery install @NAM_London.

This week I installed Marengo; Napoleon's horse used at the Battle of Waterloo.

We transported him from temporary storage into his case before, the hardest part, reattaching the skull.

Delighted to have been told my contract with the National Army Museum is to be made permanent!

I focussed my cons education and placements on working with military collections; it's great to know this has paid off and I'll be continuing to work with them moving forward!
