#OTD 14 years ago, the #MercianRegiment was formed at @TamworthCastle.
This was the result of the amalgamation of the Cheshire Regiment, the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment and the Staffordshire Regiment.

Yesterday we had this photograph album donated. It belonged to Private Brittle who was a National Service soldier and ended up staying in the Regiment for a further 2 years. The cover of the album was by Private Brittle and was based on Malaya.
