तिब्बत - चीन के ग्यिरोंग में आई अचानक और भीषण बाढ़ की चपेट में हमारी कैलाश यात्रा का एक दल आ गया है। लौटते समय, जब यह त्रासदी हुई, वे सभी इमिग्रेशन ऑफिस में थे। ऐसा अंदेशा है कि उस इमारत और शहर का एक बड़ा हिस्सा इस बाढ़ से गंभीर रूप से प्रभावित हुआ है।

हम सभी, हमारे वॉलंटियर्स और सहयोगी दल गहरे आघात और दुःख में हैं। साथ ही, राहत और बचाव कार्यों में सहायता के लिए हर संभव प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। इमिग्रेशन ऑफिस में मौजूद लोगों के बारे में अभी तक कोई आधिकारिक जानकारी नहीं मिल पाई है। हम अधिकारियों के साथ मिलकर लगातार काम कर रहे हैं ताकि जल्द से जल्द उस जगह तक पहुँचा जा सके। इस बचाव कार्य के लिए हम किसी भी स्तर का जोखिम उठाने को तैयार हैं।

हमारी इस यात्रा के 21 समूहों में से 495 लोग सुरक्षित लौट चुके हैं। 743 लोग अभी तिब्बत में हैं, 148 लोग नेपाल में हैं, 77 लोग इमिग्रेशन केंद्र में थे, और 3 वॉलंटियर्स नेपाल के टिमुरे में हैं।

हमारे दल के सदस्यों के परिजनों, प्रियजनों और इस आपदा से प्रभावित अन्य सभी लोगों के प्रति मैं अपनी गहरी संवेदना व्यक्त करता हूँ। आपका दर्द मेरी अपनी पीड़ा है। इस अत्यंत कठिन घड़ी में हम हर संभव प्रयास कर रहे हैं। मैं स्वयं इस क्षेत्र में उपस्थित हूँ, ताकि इन कठिन परिस्थितियों में जो भी सबसे बेहतर किया जा सकता है, वह सुनिश्चित हो सके। 🙏🏽

#WATCH | Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev says, "With a profound sense of pain and regret, I wish to bring to your notice that there has been a terrible flash flood between Tibet and Nepal border. On the Nepalese side, as per the Indian news reports, about 484 people have gone missing. And on this side, we don't have any official information. This morning I left to go there personally and all phones are off, all telecommunications are down, roads are blocked, we are unable to go there. One of our groups... the S3 group that we met at Saga and also met them when we were trekking up they were coming down, of which, 22 are from the United States, 12 from Canada, 11 from Australia, 9 from the United Kingdom, 4 from Germany, 3 from France, 3 from Nepal, 2 from Netherlands, 2 from New Zealand, 2 from Singapore, 2 from Spain, one each from Finland, Hungary, Israel, Lithuania, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, and South Africa. A total of 80, this includes 34 male and 46 female participants and a few other volunteers who were camped in the nearby hotels... three volunteers and one doctor. But we have no official confirmation of any kind. But looking at the scale of destruction, it looks bad."

Sadhguru's Appeal to the Authorities & Administration.

A terrible and tragic flash flood has taken place at Gyirong in Tibet - China, and one of our Kailash groups was caught in it. While on their way back, they were at the immigration office when the flood occurred and the building and much of the town seems to have been flooded.

All of us, including the volunteers and support teams are deeply anguished and are doing our utmost to assist in the rescue. There has been no official information on the whereabouts of any of the people who were at the immigration office. We are working with the authorities to see if we can get to the location and stand ready to be part of the rescue efforts, regardless of the risk involved.

Of the 21 groups who are part of our Sojourn, 495 people have already returned safely. 743 people are currently in Tibet, 148 people are in Nepal, and 77 people were at the immigration center, and 3 volunteers in Timure, Nepal.

To the families and loved ones of those in our group and hundreds of others who are affected in the region, I share your pain and we are sparing no effort during this profoundly difficult time. I am personally in the region to ensure the best can be done in the given circumstances 🙏🏽- Sg

At COP29 in Baku, Sadhguru met with the Save Soil team to offer his insights on the conference.

He outlined that the most important aspect he had seen was a tangible, global push towards re-greening the world. This doesn’t mean painting the planet green, but increasing green cover in the form of plant life.

Swami Abhipada – An Inspiring Presence

It is with a great sense of loss that we inform you that Swami Abhipada, a brahmachari at the Isha Yoga Center, passed away on October 24 after a longstanding illness. Swami Abhipada was involved with Isha since 1996 and was initiated into brahmacharya by Sadhguru in 1998.

Swami was a champion of Isha's Kayantha Sthanam initiative, the mission that Sadhguru gave him. Kayantha Sthanams are 14 crematoriums that Isha has operated since 2010, in partnership with the Tamil Nadu State Government.

Over the last century, certain significant rituals for the deceased have lost their fundamental essence. At the Kayantha Sthanams, Sadhguru has revived ancient traditions and death rituals with a powerful energy basis, conducting them in the spirit of service rather than as a commercial venture. Swami Abhipada was instrumental in setting up this vital service across Tamil Nadu under Sadhguru’s guidance.

He also led the team during the COVID-19 pandemic, which offered free cremation services to those who had passed away during the pandemic. An acute shortage of well-equipped crematoriums, hearse services and other resources had prevented families across the country from giving a dignified farewell to their loved ones, and also posed a critical challenge for administrations.

In these traumatic times, Swami Abhipada and many more volunteers and brahmacharis stepped up to ensure cremation services were uninterrupted and offered free of cost to all, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Kayantha Sthanams offered dignity in death, and ensured that family members had enough time and assistance to pay their last respects to their loved ones.

Volunteers, brahmacharis, guests and all those who came in touch with Swami Abhipada remember him for his commitment to Sadhguru's vision to raise human consciousness. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory is a tremendous inspiration for all of us.
