the @bankrbot ecosystem: where builders actually build & win
imagine AI agents that don’t just chat, they trade, bet, manage portfolios, and create value autonomously onchain.
That’s happening right now on @base with @bankrbot and the ecosystem around it is electric.
The future is agent-native. Here are the avengers of $BNKR pushing it forward:
@00burke@eiplawb_ai You’ve changed your name on Twitter more than 25 times and your friend more than 30 times, and I’m wondering how fast you’re going to disappear with this project 🤷♂️
In principle, no commercial company should have volunteers, as this is prohibited in places like the US. When I took the position, I didn’t know how long it would take for grants to be reviewed, nor did I know that we would sometimes be left with no response at all from Base, something that has happened to many ambassadors. If we are expected to be out among people, attend various events, or create content, that is something that requires time and sometimes financial backing. Of course, market conditions matter, and I have no objections there. I wrote before that every ambassador should receive even small grants to cover various expenses and grow, rather than to be fully employed. Simply.
If I write something negative, LittleDogx will take it as an attack and take it personally, which I really wouldn't want because I respect him. We don’t agree on everything, but that’s actually a good thing.
From my perspective, having ambassadors who aren't guaranteed anything is absurd. It’s like a bank having brand ambassadors who work for free, where maybe someone will pay them something at some point, but nobody knows how much or when, and basically nothing is known except that maybe something will happen someday.
I like Base, I like the people here, and I think this is where I have the most friends in the entire blockchain space. However, I’m not sure if the right direction for Coinbase is to own their own arena and an NBA team, or to advertise in Formula 1, while forgetting about the people—like the ambassadors. I get the impression that most exchanges spend way too much money on aggressive advertising, and then, when the market hits a rough patch like it is doing now, they cut expenses by laying people off. You don't necessarily have to hire ambassadors as full-time employees, but you could guarantee them a minimum so they can actually grow what they are doing. For example, I have personally spent way more on various things as an ambassador than I have ever recovered from grants.
When I wrote this to someone, they replied with a religious-like slogan: "Do you still believe in Base?" Yes, I believe in Base, but that doesn’t mean I should do everything for free or lose money on my collaboration with them. There are so many things here that I don’t understand, but I love the people here.
