I will always say what my favorite Batman story is when given the chance. Incredibly poignant writing and performances. Conroy never did a better job conveying such raw emotion, internal conflict, and pathos. A true masterpiece that deftly handles mental health and self-doubt.

It's also the most definitive proof Rocksteady was cognizant of so much of the narrative failings of Arkham City—structural and character writing. It was penance. There are so many lessons learned and applied that unfortunately most Batman fans are complacently ignorant of.

This game is the greatest argument in favor of baked lighting. This shit could release TOMORROW and still stand up to modern games.

Phantom Blade Zero also uses baked lighting and that game looks insane.

Back in 2011, they still promoted games on talk shows—Jimmy Fallon playing Batman on Late Night was peak hype.

@daddeldaddy @CrackedPopped @TheZapken AK has the least severe & amount of narrative issues of the mainline Arkham games. It's the direct sequel to what was actually a laughably stupid & soulless 'story'. Take away the plot holes, contrivances, conveniences, & flanderized characters there would be almost nothing left.
