Je n’ai aucun démenti à apporter à un ministre des Affaires étrangères d’un pays agresseur qui passe curieusement son temps à scruter le moindre tweet, communiqué ou texte publié par la Présidence congolaise, au lieu de répondre des graves accusations qui pèsent sur son propre pays concernant l’instabilité dans l’Est de la RDC.

Je n’ai pas davantage à détailler publiquement tous les mouvements, échanges, consultations ou interactions des délégations congolaises durant ce sommet pour satisfaire une polémique entretenue depuis Kigali et relayée par certains de ses commissionnaires.

Par ailleurs, chercher désormais une « explication » sur ce que vous qualifiez déjà de « mensonge éhonté » révèle surtout que votre conclusion était arrêtée avant même toute discussion. Ce n’est donc pas une démarche de recherche de vérité, mais une tentative de construction d’un narratif politique.

La Présidence de la République n’a pas à se justifier devant le ministre rwandais des Affaires étrangères ni devant ceux qui reprennent mécaniquement ses éléments de langage.

Et puisque certains prétendent disposer d’informations aussi précises sur l’organisation interne du sommet, les présences, les procédures et les échanges officiels, ils peuvent tout simplement adresser leurs questions au secrétariat de l’événement concerné.

Si j'ai bien compris, le Président Tshisekedi a fait tout le voyage jusqu'à Nairobi juste pour dénoncer l'"agression rwandaise" (sic) dans les..."couloirs", en catimini, alors qu'il y avait une session plénière toute dédiée aux questions de paix et de sécurité?

Je rappelle d'ailleurs que le Président Tshisekedi était prévu comme l'un des orateurs dans cette session sur la paix et la sécurité, co-présidée par les Présidents Ruto et Macron. Cependant, non seulement ne s'est-il jamais présenté à la session, mais aussi personne dans sa délégation n'était présent sur le siège de la RDC pour présenter la position congolaise.

Donc, il faut qu'à un certain moment la cellule de communication de la présidence congolaise arrête de raconter des mensonges.

🎙️ @PaulKagame took the Africa CEO Forum stage and spoke plainly about what much of the world still finds difficult to name.

🗣️ His charge was clear. The same global powers that lecture Africa on democracy and human rights are, with the other hand, stripping the continent of what it owns. Sanctions, he reminded the room, are not always the instruments of principle they claim to be; more often they reward the highest bidder, falling on whoever offers less and sparing whoever extracts more. The cynicism, he noted, is not new. In an older century, kings handed territories to their in-laws and children to administer as they pleased, and today the same logic operates under different vocabulary, with a foreign power simply telling a chosen proxy to go and take whatever it wants from a given region.

💎 The deeper point landed hardest. For too long, Africa has played the role of a continent waiting to be ripped off by anyone shrewd enough and powerful enough to arrive at its door, and that posture has to end. "We must be able to say no," the Rwandan President insisted, before urging African leaders, public and private, to begin assigning their own value to their own assets rather than accepting whatever value others choose to recognise.

🌍 It is the question this year's ACF places at the very centre of its programme. Pan-African ownership, resource sovereignty, and the refusal to mistake openness for vulnerability are no longer aspirational language. They are the operating conditions for whatever African economic future emerges from the next decade. Kagame's intervention was not a lament about the world as it is, but a call to the continent's leadership to stop negotiating from a position of permanent disadvantage.

🇰🇪 H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto arrives in Kigali with a message the continent has been waiting for.

🔙 Just days ago in Nairobi, co-hosting the Africa Forward Summit alongside President Emmanuel Macron, Kenya's Head of State drew a line under decades of donor logic and called for something far more ambitious: an Africa that finances Africa. He pointed to over 4 trillion dollars in long-term domestic savings already sitting on the continent, including more than 1 trillion in pension and insurance assets and over 500 billion dollars in central bank reserves, and asked the only question that matters. Why are these resources still waiting for someone else's permission to build the continent?

💡 His answer is structural. Through Kenya's National Infrastructure Fund, already capitalised at around 1 billion dollars, he is testing a model designed to crowd private capital into the corridors, ports, energy systems and digital backbones that will turn the AfCFTA from protocol into market. The thesis is unambiguous: "Africa cannot trade effectively with itself while its economies remain disconnected."

🌍 In Kigali, that same conviction lands at the heart of the Africa CEO Forum 2026 conversation, where pan-African ownership, green industrialisation and the mobilisation of domestic capital are no longer side debates but the main stage. From the Silicon Savannah he has helped engineer to the climate finance reform he has pushed through every multilateral forum that will listen, President Ruto embodies a generation of African leadership that has stopped asking and started building.

🎯 His presence on the presidential panel sets the tone for two days that will define how the continent moves from 4 trillion dollars in potential to 4 trillion dollars in motion.
