@TSPJendrek @CatatonicWalrus No way it would be more obnoxious than what currently goes on in Modern currently with affinity and all in goldfish decks😅 At least that hypothetical Uro pile would be a lumbersome interaction spam deck that doesnt win until turn 8 or whatever and thats worse case for the card.

@MaffiMTG @TSPJendrek I agree on Oko too which is weird. Oko feels better than Uro so i would start with that as an unban if anything. But i have been shocked with how bad Oko has been into generic Boros Energy decks and Frog slop in Timeless

@TSPJendrek I guess. Im not sold that Uro even better than Riddler. Double green mana commitment is pretty real for a 4 drop. Especially compared to DRS which is another 1 drop snowball card like Ragavan or Pride you have to deal with turn 1 or you get so far behind you almost cant come back

@TSPJendrek If Uro is too good at least its in the slow interaction spam decks that plan to play 8+ turns of the game, which would be a breath of fresh air from the t2/t3/t4 kill avalances of storm, titan, neoform, affinity, prowess and more (even Energy) we seen for a year straight

@TSPJendrek Chrome mox has looked super stupidly broken in NBLM which im basing it on. Im not convinced Uro would even be that great. Pretty slow in a format overrun with goldfish combo. And if it is good it would be in those fair FoN/Sub/Frog decks that the format desperate need rn.

@CesarMerjan That is fair. But the ability to still win in one turn in g1 even if Grapeshot/Jace gets exiled is invaluable in my opinion. And being able to Woodland it if the Endurances and Grapeshots are milled over to reset the grave makes it so you dont lose to bad RNG.

@carapintada13 I would like to see a light touch hit to Boros that dont kill the deck as a tier 1/2 deck (Arena of glory ban) or see cool unbans to shake things up. Almost 2 years of constant Boros best deck (with 2-3 months speed bumps Nadu/breach) is getting tiring

@TogoresMTG Lotus field and Arena of glory feels like 2 very clean bans. Noticably nerfing both Boros/Jeskai and Amulet respectivly without killing either. Amulet also works but it's more likely that kills the archetype which could set a bad precedent for future B&Rs.

@comrade1312mtg Phlage is the type of midrange card thats good to have be good. Commiting 4 mana sorcery for large creature + removal usually isnt good in Modern. Problem with Phlage is that its rarely just "good value creature" but instead "mega super fireball to face" for 4 mana with arena :(

@C0mboi Without Arena of glory it feels pretty close between Uro and Phlage (Uro slightly better effect, Phlage better colours in 2026 modern). But with Arena legal Phlage is better by a lot xd
