Something I think creators should pay more attention to before joining a campaign:
How exactly is the work being judged?
A campaign can have a big reward pool and still leave creators wondering what actually determines who gets rewarded.
โข You see:
Create content.
Compete for the reward pool.
Top creators win.
Sounds straightforward.
But then the questions start:
What matters most โ content quality, reach, engagement, or reputation?
Are the scoring rules public?
How is the final leaderboard calculated?
โข Thatโs one thing I find interesting about @swaymarkapp.
Campaigns publish their brief, content rules, scoring weights, and reward pool upfront.
Even better, content quality, X performance, and creator reputation are scored separately.
That distinction matters.
A creator can make genuinely strong content without having the biggest audience. Another creator might have huge reach but weaker content. Treating those things as the same metric can hide the actual quality of the work.
โข Swaymarkโs approach makes the evaluation easier to understand: the campaign tells you what it values before you participate, and final rewards are calculated from the finalized leaderboard using those published rules.
No guessing what the judges suddenly decided mattered.
โข My practical takeaway?
Before joining a creator campaign, donโt just ask:
โHow much is the reward pool?โ
Ask:
โ What exactly am I being scored on?
โ How are the scoring categories weighted?
โ What rules determine the final leaderboard?
Because reach gets attention, but clear rules build trust.
Thatโs the kind of transparency creators should expect from campaigns.
