@iquilezles@ansonlin A few designers I speak to tell me that they haven't opened Figma in months. They work at startups though, and I feel every designer at a startup is a design engineer now.
i hooked my whoop to my work calendar to find which coworker gives me the most stress ๐จ
thanks to fable, I reverse engineered whoop to pull per minute heart rate. nd matched spikes with cal events and attendees
I now have a leaderboard and I think about it daily.
few info masked for obvious reasons ;)

Claude Fable 5 is by far the most ridiculous model that makes me genuinely afraid for the future of software engineering.
I compiled the top 10 most unbelievable things I've seen Claude Fable 5 do today:
โ Migrate a 50M line codebase from Stripe in a day (humans take 2mos)
โ Draw amazing 3D graphics a) Boeing 747 b) space simulations with >5000 objects c) Minecraft roller coasters d) full photorealistic forest scenes e) NYC skyline f) stormy clouds)
โ One-shot Pokemon FireRed the game
โ Optimize a real world proprietary interaction net evaluator 10x more than the next best model, gpt5.5
AND it's about the same price as GPT 5.5 ($10/M input, $45/M output) vs Fable 5 ($10/M input, $50/M output) and 6x cheaper than GPT 5.5 Pro.
@lucas__crespo Awful, always broken and ugly, I am all for touch but thats not the place. I prefer physical buttons on my keyboard, always an issue with anchoring your fingers when youre using touch
@ObsoleteJPN@adriankuleszo I also feel like no one is trying to replace Figma. It is just giving the non designers the ability to design their own stuff, I am worried if it will suffer the same fate as claude design where most designs look the same.
@galluzzo_julian ...like every $10B+ company with that doesn't have a lot of contribution in AI. Atlassian, and Cloudflare laid off a lot of people in Austin. I mean Atlassian was already on a downward trajectory when I spoke to some people I know who worked there.
