Yesterday, I had the honour of joining the leadership and members of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG)@officialNUPENG9 at their South-West Regional Meeting in Ibadan, alongside leaders of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). I was warmly received by the union's leadership and members, a gesture I deeply appreciated.

In my address, I commended NUPENG for its invaluable contributions to Nigeria's economic growth and national development, noting its consistent advocacy for workers' welfare and its vital role in sustaining the oil and gas sector, the backbone of our economy.

I also reflected on my long-standing relationship with the union, dating back to 2003, and expressed appreciation for the trust and partnership we have built over more than two decades.

I used the occasion to renew my advocacy for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, @officialABAT and all All Progressives Congress (APC) @OfficialAPCNg candidates across all the states in the South-West, emphasing their capability and capacity. I also urged continued support for the party's vision of good governance and inclusive development in the region.

As a demonstration of my continued commitment to the union's growth, I announced a ₦20 million donation to support its activities and strengthen its capacity to serve its members effectively.

I remain committed to supporting organisations that champion the welfare of Nigerian workers, in the shared pursuit of a more just and prosperous Nigeria.
