Rwandan singer Miss Jojo has revealed that stepping away from music in 2012 was a deliberate decision, saying she left the industry on her own terms after accomplishing what she set out to achieve.

• The celebrated artiste said her final concert at Gikondo Expo Grounds was always intended to be her last, marking the end of a chapter she had carefully planned.

• Miss Jojo dismissed long-standing claims that marriage or religion influenced her decision, saying she had already planned to leave music years before getting married and continued performing after converting to Islam.

• Since leaving the spotlight, she has focused on humanitarian work, professional development, and family, while launching Igikari Holiday Camp, a mentorship initiative supporting teenage girls and young women.

• She said she has no plans to return to music, adding that her greatest satisfaction is leaving the industry with a positive legacy and the respect of her fans.
