DG. of Sports Development, Gervais MUNYANZIZA, welcomed back National Sitting Volleyball Teams (Men & Women) from the African Championship and congratulated them on their incredible performance. The women’s team are African champions 🏆, while the men claimed silver 🥈, and both teams qualified for the World championship scheduled for July 2026 in China.#WinForRwanda

UR VICE CHANCELLOR MEETS INDIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER TO DISCUSS ACADEMIC COLLABORATION

Vice Chancellor of the University of Rwanda, Prof. Kayihura Muganga Didas, and India’s High Commissioner to Rwanda, Mridu Pawan Das, held a luncheon meeting focused on exploring potential avenues for academic collaboration between Indian institutions and UR.

During the discussion, the Vice Chancellor @mdkayihura highlighted key priority fields including ICT, Data Science, Health, and Engineering — areas that visibly captured the diplomat’s interest. The two parties agreed to convene a follow-up meeting next month, bringing together technical teams from both sides to delve deeper into actionable partnerships.

This engagement affirms India’s growing interest in Rwanda’s higher education development and fostering mutually beneficial academic ties. @IndiaKigali
