I address you today to urge a firm refusal to be manipulated by desperate political figures seeking relevance at your expense. There is no logical justification for demonstrating against Constitutional Amendment No. 3 (CA3). This legislation achieved unprecedented, bipartisan consensus across both chambers of Parliament. In signing CA3 into law, His Excellency President E.D. Mnangagwa merely honored the sovereign will of our nation.
Simply put, CA3 is an established legal reality. Disjointed opposition from fringe political elements cannot alter this fact, and those who choose to defy the law will inevitably face its consequences.

On July 31st, I encourage you to pursue your daily endeavors productively. Reflect on last year’s futile call for civil disruption by Geza, the protest collapsed entirely, leaving behind nothing but unnecessary economic inconvenience for everyday citizens.
Zimbabwe remains a peaceful and resilient nation. Under the leadership of President E.D. Mnangagwa, our trajectory toward Vision 2030 remains resolute. The tangible economic progress realized under the Second Republic is not political hyperbole; it is a empirical reality affirmed by global institutions such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Good morning from PRINCE WICKNELL who's at home in Eswatini...After spending earlier part of the week in BOTSWANA assessing BUSINESS and INVESTMENT opportunities there as part of our broader REGIONAL INTEGRATION strategy, I flew into SOUTH AFRICA for the day yesterday, where we are concluding the acquisition of a prestigious property that will become the REGIONAL HEADQUARTERS for our HOLDINGS Group

Yesterday evening culminated in what I consider as yet again one of the GREATEST HONOUR in the days of my life. From the moment we landed, we were accorded a ROYAL RED-CARPET RECEPTION, received through His Majesty’s PRIVATE airport terminal with full traditional and cultural honours, before being escorted under VVIP PROTOCOL from the airport tarmac to the Royal Palace !!! My lovely wife and I were then graciously hosted by HMK KING MSWATI III to a lavish dinner at His Majesty’s sacred Royal Palace. Such an honour is ordinarily reserved strictly for highly respected ROYAL GUESTS and HEADS OF STATE. Truly, A PROPHET IS NOT WITHOUT HONOUR EXCEPT IN HIS OWN COUNTRY…Mwari vanondida...

We were treated to the FINEST CUISINE and undoubtedly one of the most MEMORABLE dining experiences we have ever enjoyed, all within the warmth and dignity of TRUE AFRICAN ROYALTY. During our discussions, I had the privilege of updating HMK on the excellent progress already achieved towards our MEGA SOLAR PROJECT. The exceptional professionalism and EFFICIENCY demonstrated by the various Government departments of the Kingdom of Eswatini was worth commending, as most approvals including the IPP GENERATION LICENCE, were processed in a RECORD BREAKING period of 48 HOURS !!! The efficiency on their service delivery has encouraged me to make the decision to find a cheap house for not more than 50 million rand to buy it TODAY so whenever I visit I have somewhere comfortable to relax.

I further updated HMK that our business associates and technical teams are now finalising the GRID IMPACT ASSESSMENT, whilst simultaneously concluding the ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (ESIA), the Grid Connection and Interconnection Studies, the Geotechnical and Topographical Investigations, together with all remaining engineering and technical certification requirements necessary before commencement of construction.

Following these encouraging developments, I was equally delighted to reassure HMK that INTRATREK HOLDINGS has taken the bold decision to SELF-FUND the FIRST PHASE of 50MW, entirely from our own balance sheet and internal resources. We are confident that this first phase of 10 MW can be delivered within a RECORD-BREAKING period of 6 - 8 MONTHS. Following extensive consultations with our international technical advisers, we also resolved that, whilst we remain highly appreciative of the outstanding work previously undertaken by various reputable Chinese partners in the region, including CHINT ELECTRIC CO., LTD , the principal OEMs for this project will predominantly be sourced strictly from the UNITED STATES and EUROPE and consequently we will not involve CHINT ELECTRIC as earlier suggested.

Accordingly, HMK was delighted to note that the Solar PV modules, INVERTERS, switchgear, transformers, SCADA and other control systems will be procured from internationally recognised manufacturers in those jurisdictions. However, the EPC implementation, will be undertaken by highly skilled professionals drawn from ESWATINI, ZIMBABWE and SOUTH AFRICA. As Africans, we should embrace the best global technology, but the DEVELOPMENT of our continent must ultimately be driven BY AFRICANS, FOR AFRICANS, harnessing our own expertise to deliver transformational projects that will benefit FUTURE generations.

It was indeed a night of SPLENDOUR and a night of ROYALTY…

As I now depart for EUROPE via EAST AFRICA, I do so with a heart overflowing with GRATITUDE and immense PRIDE.

My journey YESTERDAY perfectly reminded me why I often describe KENYA 🇰🇪 as my SECOND HOME. Following an intensive week of business engagements across BOTSWANA, SOUTH AFRICA and the KINGDOM OF ESWATINI, I was once again privileged to pay a COURTESY VISIT on H.E. PRESIDENT WILLIAM RUTO at STATE HOUSE in NAIROBI. Travelling across these great African Nations has become significantly more convenient when flying 51,000 feet above sea level aboard a GULFSTREAM G550 with a maximum FLIGHT RANGE of 14hours 30 minutes non stop. By God’s GRACE I continue to hope and PRAY that my dream of taking delivery of a brand-new US$ 87 MILLION 💰 ALL NEW GULFSTREAM G800 before the end of 2027 will come true. As H.E PRESIDENT RUTO always repeatedly reminds me, Kwa IMANI na MAOMBI, yote yanawezekana…Through faith and PRAYER, everything is possible. ✈️✈️✈️...🙏🙏🙏

Every engagement with HIS EXCELLENCY is nothing short of being IMPRESSIVE and EXTRAORDINARY. H.E. possesses the rare ability to combine the discipline of a STATESMAN with the humility of a SERVANT LEADER. I took the opportunity to congratulate PRESIDENT RUTO on the relentless progress being recorded in Kenya’s ENERGY TRANSFORMATION AGENDA, particularly the recent commissioning of THE HABASWEIN OFF-GRID HYBRID POWER PROJECT, a landmark initiative that is extending reliable electricity to over 8,565 households, whilst reinforcing Kenya’s position as Africa’s UNDISPUTED leader in RENEWABLE ENERGY. As someone whose life REVOLVES around infrastructure and energy development, I derive IMMENSE INSPIRATION from His Excellency’s leadership which understands that ENERGY is the foundation upon which INDUSTRIALISATION, JOB CREATION and ECONOMIC GROWTH are built.

Our discussions equally afforded me the OPPORTUNITY to provide His Excellency with an update on the significant progress we are making towards our planned investment of OVER US`$100 MILLION in Kenya. Step by step...BRICK UPON BRICK 🧱 , that vision is steadily becoming a reality. I had the PLEASURE to also report on the remarkable progress achieved in our TOURISM and HOSPITALITY investments in East Africa which will contribute significantly towards MASSIVE employment creation and long-term economic growth. Yesterday I expressed my full support for the return of the Harare–London direct service. I genuinely want this route to succeed because it is long overdue and offers enormous benefits to Zimbabweans, business travellers and tourists alike.

That is why today's reports that Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials are travelling on the inaugural flight to the UK for what is described as a relaunch leave me disappointed.

Many of us remember one of the factors that contributed to Air Zimbabwe's decline. There was a widespread perception that official travel, staff privileges and non-commercial decisions sometimes took precedence over the interests of fare-paying passengers. Whether entirely true or not, that perception damaged public confidence in the airline.

The relaunch has already received extensive publicity through television, newspapers, radio, social media and WhatsApp. By now, Zimbabweans in the UK and elsewhere are well aware that the direct service has returned. Against that backdrop, it is reasonable for people to ask whether such a large official delegation is necessary.

Listen,I am not criticising individuals or opposing Government. This is about protecting a route that many of us have waited years to see restored.

Air Zimbabwe @FlyAirZimbabwe starts this new chapter with enormous goodwill. The airline should do everything possible to demonstrate that commercial sustainability, customer service and transparency come first. Every decision made in these early weeks will either strengthen or weaken public confidence.

I remain fully behind this route and sincerely hope it becomes a permanent success. Precisely because I want it to succeed, I believe it is important to raise concerns when old practices appear to be resurfacing. Public confidence is difficult to rebuild, but very easy to lose.

The Air Zimbabwe Airbus A330-300 has officially arrived at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, ahead of resuming the direct Harare-London service after a 14-year hiatus. The highly anticipated inaugural flight to London Gatwick is scheduled for this Wednesday.
