Three men lost their lives on Monday protecting their community.
Amin Abdullah, the security guard and father of 8, stood in front of the gunmen so 140 children could hide.
Mansour Kaziha, a pillar of the mosque for nearly 40 years, called 911.
Nader Awad ran toward the danger to draw the shooters away.
They were fathers, husbands, pillars of their mosque. They chose others over themselves.
Our hearts are with their families and the entire Muslim community of San Diego.
Islamophobia kills. This is not a debate. It’s reality.
🤍 Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn
Brother Amin, (the security guard who lost his life) was a brother who said Salam to me every Friday during prayer. ICSD is my home mosque. Abu Al Azz (who also lost his life) who runs the shop inside the mosque is connected closely with my family. The community (myself and family included) have been watching this closely since the second the attack happened. Have already made a contribution to the donation fund for the families involved and are at the ready for any and everything the community needs including being at the janazah.
Me running to socials to post about it for approval of others is the least of my concern and worries.
