i think the greatest theft committed by a long-term autocracy is not financial.
it is time!
in a functioning democracy, politics is background noise. you vote, you pay taxes, you get on with your life. the luxury of a free society is the right to find politics completely boring.
23 years of this has made that impossible in Turkey.
there is no normal tuesday anymore. 86 million people wake up and have to be amateur macroeconomists, constitutional lawyers, and investigative journalists just to get through the week. teenagers in cafes are not talking about music or football. they are talking about central bank rates, pretrial detention limits, and whether ruling party elites will get travel bans.
when every independent institution is broken, the regime's chaos moves into your living room. it becomes your problem. it demands your attention, your energy, your mental space, permanently.
autocrats do not just empty a treasury.
they drain an entire generation of the bandwidth to imagine something else.
an outside observer watching Turkey’s latest financial scandal can spot the palace's paralysis in 5 seconds.
in any normal legal system, when a ruling party deputy like Fatma Betül is caught in a multi-billion stock robbery, the first 3 steps are automatic:
immediate party expulsion, an emergency asset freeze, and a prosecutor’s subpoena asking where her initial 163 million liras in cash came from.
in Ankara, none of that has happened.
the AKP hasn't expelled her. prosecutors are waiting for palace permission to ask a single question. and the state expects 86 million citizens to pretend this silence is normal procedure.
when an autocrat cannot even bring himself to expel a deputy caught red-handed, he is not trying to protect the politician.
he is desperately protecting the machine that made the robbery possible.
Fatmanur Çelik henüz çocuk yaşta Kuran’a Hizmet Vakfı yöneticisi Ayhan Şengüler tarafından t*cavüze uğradı. Zorla Evlendirildi, Fail Ayhan Şengüler İstismar sonucu doğan öz kızı Hifa İkra’yada 3 yaşına kadar t*cavüz etti. Anne Fatmanur, kızının bedenindeki izleri fark edince..+
If you want to see how an autocracy handles a financial heist inside its own palace, look at Turkey right now.
The latest saga surrounding Erdogan's inner circle refuses to end, and it tells you everything about the total collapse of justice in this country.
A ruling party deputy was caught in a multi-billion lira stock market extraction. The palace panicked. Government media then released a story claiming she simply "refunded the money."
No documents. No bank receipts.
They expect 86 million citizens to ignore basic criminal law. Returning stolen funds does not erase the crime. The legal penalty is double the amount, reaching 4.4 billion liras.
But the question nobody dares answer: where did a political official find 163 million liras in cash to make the initial investment?
The double standard is staggering.
A university student posts a critical tweet and anti-terror police kick down their door at midnight. Ekrem Imamoglu wins an election and gets 2,300 years of fabricated charges. But when a regime insider loots billions, the state issues a polite press release and calls it resolved.
This is not a government managing an economy.
It is a money laundering operation with a national flag.
Max Blumenthal: "Israeli intelligence hacked into the phones of young girls in Gaza to determine when their fathers would come home. Then they would order an airstrike on their homes and listen to the girls burn alive."
If this doesn't make you sick, nothing will. They turned murder into entertainment.
This is what a demonic society produces.
Sustunuz. Bitti.
Peki.
Biz, yeniden ayağa kalkmayı, toparlanmayı, bir kahkaha patlatıp devam etmeyi biliriz.
İzninizle var olmadık, yasaklarınızla yok olmayız. Biliniz.
Merhaba ben Ronî Güven. Hesabım dün TR'den erişime engellendi. Bu hesaptan devam edeceğim. Sizden ricam paylaşıp Kürt time'ına ulaşmamı sağlamanız.
Sansüre karşı dayanışmayla🌱
