Today I inspected the progress of the Water Treatment Plant under the Kitui and Matuu Towns Last Mile Connectivity of Water and Sanitation Works Project, implemented under the Kenya Towns Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Program in Yatta constituency, Machakos County.
After the inspection, it was evident that the project which had previously stalled due to contractor-related challenges, is now back on track following the resolution of those issues.
I directed that a comprehensive assessment be undertaken on all previously executed works to ascertain their quality and suitability before further construction proceeds. I emphasized that any demolition arising from substandard or defective work should not result in additional costs to the project.
I further underscored the importance of close supervision by the Client, the Engineer, and the supervising consultants throughout implementation to ensure adherence to quality standards, timely delivery, and prudent use of public resources.
Once completed, the project will significantly enhance access to safe and reliable water and sanitation services for residents of Kitui and Matuu towns, improving public health and supporting socio-economic development.

The STANDARD, sorry gMoi manual Tweet handle, is running the country's BIGGEST FACTORY of FAKE NEWS.
At its heart is a NEWSROOM fueled by SPIN, stripped of SOUL, and dressed in the HIGH HEELS of SENSATIONALISM.
Meanwhile, ongoing, STADIUMS, new HIGHWAYS, Affordable HOUSING, Mama Mboga MARKETS, higher COFFEE prices, broader SHA coverage, cheaper FERTILIZER, digital ROYALTY payments, lower INTEREST rates, NYOTA, Kazi Majuu, and the BOLDEST TEA and Sugar REFORMS.
On one thing, I agree with STANDARD that the RESULTS in President @WilliamsRuto's Plan are too SERIOUS for their TABLOID version of JOURNALISM.
