Wouldn’t Abx speed resolution of inflammation/pain & return to normal. If I have diverticulitis I want IV Abx

FIT can be implemented in general practice de novo to triage patients with high risk symptoms, with good uptake.

1103 younger (<50) patients had “high risk” 🚩 bowel symptoms.
But cancer was the cause of symptoms in only 1.5% of these patients. 51.3% had normal colonoscopies.
