@Yonepatchi i still play showdown just as much as i did before champions came out. way easier to just make quick changes, play quick games and see the stats of mega pokemon. showdown also has best of 3 ladder and open teamsheets which i think makes it better for practice than playing ingame

@IScreamKat very baffling considering in private lobbies and in person tournaments the old timeout rules still apply? i guess its to simplify it for new players so they dont feel "cheated" out of points on ranked due to a timeout but otherwise i genuinely cant think of another reason
