This is what happens when we select for exaggerated traits in our animals.
Longer, skinnier legs (likely to break), bigger eyes (well, shallower eye sockets), less muscular hind end, and bigger ears. Bigger, fewer spots...
And the brachycephalia is murder on their breathing.
And I'm truly glad Mom isn't suffering anymore. I hope she found peace at the end. She had a hell of a ride here, if those photos are any indication :)

And that's ok. Not everyone is close to their parents, and I'm writing all this here because I think we should normalize it and be open about it. I had lots of other people step up to help raise me, fill the role, and they did a great job. I'm glad they are in my life -
