I think a lot of people need to learn to become comfortable with the fact that yes, you can actually have a perfectly valid & legitimate reason for doing something AND your actions can still be fucked up & harmful to others. Like those two things are not mutually exclusive.
i am begging some of you to become ok with hearing not-so-great-things about yourself. especially if it is coming from a loved one that historically respects your agency. chances are you unknowingly crossed a boundary & someone is trying to tell you in a respectful way.
Confidence doesn't come from believing in yourself. It comes from having done the uncomfortable thing enough times that your nervous system stops flagging it as an emergency. Because nothing is actually hard, it's just unfamiliar.
