📢 | Props to ASEAN Football 👍
I notice some comments throughout today crapping on Indonesia- can we not do that?
They legit were a better team than us today. Hard pill to swallow. And it wasn't just today. This was a terrific side that defeated AFC heavyweights like Australia, they blew out Jordan 4-1, and lost to the hosts Qatar down 10 men. It's no shame to lose to them, honestly. All the more with the coach they have.
ASEAN football has grown considerably (much in thanks to Korean coaches) and that shouldn't be mocked but celebrated. Even their fanbases are passionate and more fiery than ours in many ways. (Did you see the Indonesians today in the Stadium?! Total home stadium vibes.) Fair play and good on them. Like I said, I'm gutted at the loss, but I'm proud of our coaches that are making history like Shin Tae-young, Kim Pan-gon, Park Hang-seo.
At the end of the day, a rising tide lifts all boats. This is only going to sharpen the KNT as well as we respect our Asian neighbors and get challenged to do better as one of the highest ranked nations in the AFC.
