"Medicine was not something I did between 9 AM and 5 PM. It was not something that sat on one side of a scale opposite of 'life.' Medicine was woven through every aspect of my life."
In #APieceofMyMind, a retired family physician reflects on the boxes of paper left behind by a medical career—and the enduring relationships, lessons, and identity they represent.

🚨Attention!
🚨All AIIMS Residents and residents of Delhi Hospitals will be providing free OPD services on the road in front of @MoHFW_INDIA at Nirman Bhawan, till we are assured security in hospitals through a Central Protection Act!
We are there for serving our patients! ❤️
As a doctor, being blamed for intentional denial of services to the patients is far from reality. Even as we live through this harrowing episode, we will never shy away from discharging our professional duties if the circumstances so require.
Nationwide protests were seen today by Top Medical Colleges of India,
All the doctors have shown their support and demands justice to victim and implementation of ‘Central Protection Act’
When we called unity, this is what we meant,

We are starting a campaign with @mnemonicsmed1 . My humble request to spread this as much as possible
We are planning a special initiative -"#AbhayaKaBhai" where citizens across the country will tie rakhis in memory of Dr. Abhaya, a dedicated female doctor who tragically lost her life after being brutally raped and murdered while on duty at RG Kar Medical College.
This campaign is a step forward in our fight for justice, as well as in honoring Didi's memory. We also aim to make a powerful statement against the violence that healthcare workers, especially women, face.
By tying rakhis, we aim to symbolize our collective promise to protect, respect, and support the healthcare workers and all women in society.
Dictatorship thrives on the suppression of truth and the erosion of liberty. It is the darkest betrayal of humanity’s right to think and speak freely.
5000 doctors had defied CrPC 144 in Delhi for a massive protest outside Nirman Bhavan.
Dear friends in Bengal, don’t be scared!
Instead of arresting the culprits, they’re arresting our voices. Section 163 BNSS 2023 won’t stop us from demanding justice for our colleague. The world is watching. #RGKar#JusticeForDoctors#RightToProtest
While healthcare heroes risk their lives, the authorities respond by blocking our right to protest?
The real crime here is the misuse of power to suppress the truth.

#WATCH | Mumbai, Maharashtra: On doctors' nationwide strike against Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital rape-murder case, a relative of a patient at Sion Hospital says, "We are facing difficulties. But because of the incident that happened, there will be difficulties. What needs to be done, has to be done... The doctors will not leave their strike until there is a solution... There are fewer doctors but the services are running smoothly..."
#WATCH | Mumbai, Maharashtra: On doctors' nationwide strike against Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital rape-murder case, a relative of a patient at Sion Hospital says, "Our patient is in ICU. The services are proper. We don't have any problem. But I think that what happened in Kolkata is wrong. Those who have done wrong should be punished... Doctors are serving the people selflessly. The government and the people should support them... The services (at the hospital) are running smoothly..."
