Three #healthdata highlights from 2025 📆

Had the opportunity to staff the second-annual Women In Tech networking event hosted by JPMorgan Chase and @italentcorp's @GLAMReadyToLead 🎉💪 Privileged to facilitate a discussion about what women need in 2025 to be successful in tech. The result? Two examples of meaningful initiatives led by innovative leaders helping to move the needle 📈

1️⃣ Pamela Banerjee and @WomenBackToWork help companies that value diversity and inclusion hire career-ready returners into tech and professional roles.

2️⃣ Nikki Parsons and @SAfG_BayArea is working to change the face of science by providing afterschool STEM programs for girls in the East Bay.

The 𝟱𝘁𝗵 public data report from the Healthcare Payments Database, California's All-Payer Claims Database, and the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 on healthcare costs.

Check out the range consumers pay when dealing with chronic conditions like asthma, anxiety, and diabetes -- and the compounding financial burden for those suffering from multiple conditions.

You'll see the default view excludes Medi-Cal, so not to skew the cost figures because there is no out-of-pocket for Medi-Cal enrolees. You can filter Medi-Cal in, or just look at Medi-Cal by itself, to see the enrollment and claim count figures.

Many partners and stakeholders contributed to the development of this report -- with gratitude to them and our cherished team of civil servants. Thank you!

Just published the 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙝 public analytic report from the Healthcare Payments Database, California's All-Payer Claims Database, with data from 2018 to 2023.

Playing a bit of catch up now, but going forward all these HPD reports will have about a one-year data lag.

Our goal is for data to be actionable, and timely, to support the most informed decisions. Thank you to the dedicated team of civil servants and partners for your support!
