All things Valley. News, Trolls, and Takes.

Bad weekend to be a Wildcat traveling to Normal.

[MVCentel @mvccentel]

Nobody told ole fish and chips on NW that one didn't count.

[Northwestern Basketball @NUMensBball]

Capping a 50-year career in basketball 💜

Brian James tossed today’s honorary tip-off before the game. BJ is a graduate of Illinois State and recently retired following a 13-year career on the Northwestern bench.

[MVCentel @mvccentel]

Would've been a fun day in Hinkle if I wasn't watching the first act of the Valley to B1G belt to ass tour in Normal.

[Indiana State Basketball @IndStBasketball]

Indiana State trails Butler 75-67 late in the second half.

@karmani_gregory leads the Sycamores with 22 points as Indiana State looks to close the gap.

@tmlemaster I think that this team will eventually find that Klabo's minutes will be best served on the 2nd unit (still with an important role) but keeping him and Johnny off of the court at the same time when possible.

[MVCentel @mvccentel]

This one is for @tmlemaster
Red Bird Arena: I am inside of you. We're so back.

[MVCentel @mvccentel]

@MVCMadness Reek got there and had to think: aw no, not this shit again.

[Valpo Athletics @valpoathletics]

The @ValpoBasketball team has received its highest placement in the preseason poll since joining the Missouri Valley Conference as the league announced its preseason favorites on Tuesday!

[MVCentel @mvccentel]

@tmlemaster Jack broke my heart last year. I hope he finds the stroke at NIU.

"If we can't protect the Valley, you can be damned sure we'll avenge it" -Murray State probably

[Murray State Men's Basketball @RacersHoops]

No shock here - THAT'S A RACER WIN!

Roman Domon leads us with 17pts, with 16 from Brayden Shorter, 14 from Christian Jones and 12pts from Talis Soulhac!

The anticipation for the 2026-27 season is building - don't miss a second of the action inside The Bank!

[MVCentel @mvccentel]

@RedbirdsBack @ChadMazanowski I don't hate the St Thomas possibility. The other 2 are gross.

[Randy Reinhardt @Pg_Reinhardt]

Johnny Kinziger left the first official Illinois State basketball practice Sunday after turning his ankle. "I went up for a shot and came down weird. That's all we know right now with that. It's painful but hopefully it's nothing too much going forward," he said.

[MVCentel @mvccentel]

Plenty of warning to stay off the streets of Bloomington Normal on October 15th.

Bradley fans working OT shifts at the spin zone factory.

[Bradley Fans @BradleyFans_com]

@MVCMadness The claim that Brian Wardle "had to get university ordered leadership classes" is completely false.
The claims of abuse by a couple disgruntled players were disputed & denied by everyone else present & after an extensive 3rd party investigation were deemed to have never happened.

[MVCentel @mvccentel]

Makes sense. Way too soft for the Valley.

[The Field of 68 @TheFieldOf68]

NEWS: Fred King, named in the Kentucky fifth-year eligibility lawsuit, will be heading back to Creighton, he told @TheFieldOf68.

The 6-9 big man spent three seasons in Omaha before last year at Murray State, where he posted 13.1 ppg and 8.4 rpg. Was also named 1st Team All-MVC.

[MVCentel @mvccentel]

@MVC_Hoops If they must play a non-D1, I wish it would be making IWU come up the road. Otherwise, play WIU, NIU, SIUE, SLU, Ball St, Southern Indiana, Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Half to be able to get another close D1 through the door.

[MVCentel @mvccentel]

Word is that they were going to play Wesleyan, but with the construction on US 51 Business that it was actually quicker for Eureka to get to RBA than IWU could.

[Illinois State Men's Basketball @Redbird_MBB]

Mark your calendars 🙌
