The director of IIT BHU, prof. Pramod Kumar Jain has not even appeared in front of the students who are gathered. It is also to be noted that the institute's NIRF ranking has been in a constant decline in his time as the director.

Around 2am on 2/11/2023, a student of IIT bhu campus was sexually assaulted, allegedly at gunpoint.
The friend who was with her was taken away.
This happened at an INSTITUTE OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE. This is the state of students here.

Further, students have been standing in protest since 10am today. All academic activity has been seized in the campus, with only a few weeks for the final exams to come.
So far, inspite of the heated scenario, no official mail or action has been taken by the administration.
Today, students of IIT bhu stand in protest of the incident, demanding a closed campus with restricted entry.
Historically, the administration has always denied the request and insisted on restricting the activity of the STUDENTS instead.
This must be brought to light.
IIT bhu, unlike other iits is not a closed campus with restricted entry. It is open, meaning anybody can come in and out, it's basically an open township.
This has been the main source of crimes and multiple sexual assaults in the campus.
