I previously expected the Spurs to win tonight. But this spooky MSG banner honoring former Knicks coach Red Holzman's number of wins lines up with today's date. 👀 ✨😮 #NBAFinals
Be careful crowing Knicks too soon. The last time the Knicks lost three in a row was as recent as March 2026 against the Hornets, OKC, and Rockets. It's not probable, but it's absolutely possible the Spurs could still pull off a shocker. #NBAFinals
I HATE to say this, but No one is talking about how the Wembanyama non-flagrant call is the redemption arc for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. This non-call for Brunson is exactly why SGA flops. If Brunson has simply laid down on the court, Wemby would likely have been assessed a tech.
If you're convinced you're "the guy," you will try to assert your will. But if your shot isn't falling, that doesn't work. Also, getting overplayed and openly disrespected by Wemby got in Brunson's head. Asserting your will isn't always an option when you're 6'1" in the NBA.
This is why the Knicks lost game 3. The Spurs denied Brunson so much that he became frustrated, decided he would force his shots, and thus broke the system that got them there. Basketball is a mind game. The Spurs tricked Brunson into ditching the Knicks winning system #nbafinals
Jalen Brunson is a good guard, but he's not big enough (height), athletic enough (Ant Edwards), nor elite talented enough (Kyrie) to just ignore his teammates at the end of every game. Trash game. NBA Knicks curse now aided by the Brunson family running the squad.
As I predicted, Trump put the Dolan curse back on the Knicks. Now anything is possible. Not even Danhausen may be able to remove the Dolan curse now. #NBAFinals
I have no political take, but based on his low polling,I think the U.S. president coming to Game 3 is bad mojo that may re-establish the James Dolan curse on the Knicks that was lifted by Danhausen. I no longer expect a sweep. I expect Spurs to win Game 3 & maybe the NBA Finals🔮

This is great context. At these salary levels, especially for the Spurs, it means he was expected to be the clear number 2 to Wemby. Even before the high ankle sprain, he was not playing like a number 2 on a top team. Time for someone at the Spurs to apply pressure.
De’Aaron Fox’s four-year, $228.6 million extension kicks in next month for the Spurs:
2026-27: $51 million
2027-28: $55.1 million
2028-29: $59.2 million
2029-30: $63.3 million
If the Knicks win this series, they will be one of the greatest Knicks teams of all time. If they can SWEEP the Spurs, they will be one of the greatest teams of ALL teams ALL TIME. #nbafinals
This is the first Finals where I kind of don't want either team to lose. I'm rooting for both of them. So weird. Spurs win: Awesome. Knicks win: Amazing.
@LegionHoops Yes, but no. He demands being in charge and wouldn't have let Wemby lead the young team. Because of that, they wouldn't have become as cohesive. De'Aaron Fox is only 28 and the team calls him Unc, so Chris Paul was like having dad yelling at them. His exit was necessary.
@anthonyVslater it wasn't a failure. it was evolution. SGA learned that the world was actually paying attention to how he plays, so he started just playing straight up, and earned the respect of a lot of fans. that's all we want. we don't want the NBA to turn into european soccer acting.
@StephenCurry30 I get it. Get the bag. Especially now before the career is done at the 11th hour. Good business. But this might end up being even less popular than the Under Armour collab.
I love Steph. And I know Li-Ning. But honestly, I can't see ever wearing a pair unless they significantly level up the design and comfort game at a decent price. Otherwise, this seems like a shoe that international fans will wear, can't see it popping off here. Good luck tho
I will say this about SGA and OKC: I noticed how he changed in the latter part of the series and stopped with the flopping. He started just playing straight up, and it looked great. If he keeps that up, I can see myself rolling with SGA as an NBA lover. Hope he keeps it up.
As the series went on, it was CLEAR that SGA heard all the chatter about his flopping and so he stopped flopping as much. And now we have confirmation that flopping was his super power. OKC is a good team, but was a champion based on gaming the system. Spurs earned that win.
