🚨Venezuelan elections 🇻🇪
Venezuela seemingly was headed to elect opposition leader Ed Gonzalez in a landslide against the deeply unpopular dictator Nicolás Maduro.
The dictatorship waited until well past midnight and, deep into the night, announced a Maduro victory with a razor thin margin (51%) with 109% (??) of votes counted.
Maduro has not released the official tallies from the 30,000 polling stations.
What comes next is right up the tyrant’s playbook: the regime will make a move to lock down the internet and engage in some kind of surprise. Chaos is likely to ensue.
And their virtual online army (with plenty of non-Venezuelan troll farms) will get to work while the actual army is forced to stay inside their barracks. But the armed militia will be out in full force to support Maduro and prevent any street protests.
Whatever happens next, the people of Venezuela will continue to suffer, even if the Army decides to force Maduro out.
OTD in 1941 Soviet deportations from Estonia continued. 10,000 people, 75% women & kids under 16, were forcibly taken. Less than 4,000 survived
Imagine Russia carrying out mass deportations and crimes against humanity today…

We really have to give credit to the new Argentinian President for the seating arrangement that allowed Zelensky to finally corner and tear into obese ratfucker Orban, totally unencumbered.
Unfortunately, we have very little festive mood in Ukraine.
Many families will celebrate Christmas apart for the second year in a row.
It is terrible, but a lot of families have lost their loved ones in this horrible war.
These days, the value of family, love, the opportunity to be near and embrace your loved ones is felt more than ever before. Our life is very fragile.
Still got time to RSVP!✍️

The less you understand the craft, the more helpful it seems. Once you understand the principles of the craft, you can clearly see it is toxic brain poison that can take decades to unlearn.
Sorry, but if you're implementing the Scrum framework, the odds of you being Agile are next to nothing. Where's the agility in a rigid process used by every team marching in lockstep? Ofc, the Scrum trainers lament that fact, and talk about Scrum Theatre and Faux Agile and how none of that is actually Agile, and how you have to do Scrum *right*, but nobody (including their students) seem to pay much attention to that. SAFe is much much worse. The good news is that I've seen more and more products (not projects) built without Scrum in an agile way.
Using my badspreadsheet. Feels great to be able to make little design explorations like this, even with the somewhat minimal set of features I have working.
All kinds of rough edges, but that's why I like doing this! It's already useful, and I learn what works/doesn't. #clojure
Increasingly convinced AI is just going to make the internet worse in mundane and frustrating ways. Content farms were bad enough already, but this turbocharges them.
