JADE discusses Britney Spears’s “revolutionary” impact on pop culture:
“I know everyone says it, but Blackout is a pop bible. I love Break the Ice, [and] Gimme More is in my Top 10 pop songs of all time. I think Gimme More has paved the way and, even without other girlies knowing it, has influenced their songs so much, again and again and again. I feel like every pop girl at some point has gone in a writers room and referenced Gimme More – including me.
What I like most about Britney Spears’s music is that she always reinvents herself. I think the Blackout era in particular felt revolutionary in pop. I loved the concepts as well – it was bolshy, it was sassy, but it still had that gorgeous innocence that Britney always had. It stood out and it still does. I feel like Blackout could come out now and be a #1 record and change the game again.”
Um dia vc vê gente pagando pau pra uma diva pop dessa geração, no outro dia vc vê uma apresentação antiga da Britney e a ficha cai. Não tem como comparar, a Britney no auge era muito absurda, coisa de outro planeta.
