Our annual Diversity in STEM Symposium will take place on Friday, January 20 in the Monta Vista Student Union at 3:30 PM. Women in STEM fields will discuss the difficulties they overcame and their experiences from college to their current job!!

That’s a wrap on rookie trainings! We introduced our rookies to all the engineering and ops divisions that they’ll be able to take part in over the next season. We also held SiSTEM day for all our female and non binary rookies, and capped off rookie trainings with parent night!
We kicked off Rookie Trainings with our very first project, combining mechanical, electrical, and software skills. We also discussed marketing aspects - from brand standards to picture taking! We’re so excited to get to know our rookies even more in the next couple of weeks!
On Saturday, MVRT competed in CalGames, where we won the 2022 Founders Award! A big thank you to our sponsors for a wonderful season. This being a last goodbye to the 2022 season, we’re excited to welcome in all the new rookies next week for Rookie Training! Farewell Rapid React!
On Saturday, MVRT and other FUHSD teams held demos where children could learn about FRC, our team, our robot, and key electrical concepts like crimping wires. We got to meet so many people, and it was so fun inspiring the newest generation to think robots!
Headstart 2022! We introduced incoming freshmen to life as a part of MVRT - from creating their own brand and outreach programs, to building their very own robot. On the last day, teams showcased their robots and competed together in our very own Matador Mayhem Regional 2022!
Vet trainings week 3! This week, mech vets worked on the adjustable shooter, and created a falcon-powered kitbot. Electrical worked on testboards and pneumatics, and software worked on limelight code. Finally, we welcomed a special guest to teach us about camera skills!
Vet trainings week 2! This week, members chose specific divisions to specialize in. Vets had hands-on time to work on robot improvements, learn web dev, PID and FF, and even how to solder! To cap off the week, mechanical introduced the Summer 2022 CADathon, Everstuck!
Vet trainings week 1! This week, new vets got an overview of the robot and an introduction to CAD as part of the mechanical division. They also got an introduction to key electrical and software components of the robot!
