The statement reminds me of @AnyangNyongo telling Mo1 to herd his goats and watch how a country should be run before the Kibaki regime proceeded to "eat gluttonously," subvert the push for a new constitution, attack media, rig elections and nearly tear the nation apart.
Ol Kalou voters are being bribed with cash, GOK mattresses and gas cylinders while state officials campaign with public resources.
That's bribery under Section 9 of the Election Offences Act, and abuse of office under Sections 14 and 15.
@IEBCKenya , @DCI_Kenya , @EACCKenya : act now. Target the offenders, not the voters.
Here is the joint statement that we made earlier.

Hugo Chavez was the best thing to happen to Venezuela, he took extreme poverty from 67% to just 6% in a decade.
He was so successful in fact that the USA decided they had to destroy Venezuela or they would lose South America to Socialism.
That is what actually happened.
An explosive amaBhungane investigation has uncovered evidence suggesting that one of South Africa’s most notorious alleged gang bosses infiltrated a major state infrastructure project — with help from inside.
The story centres on the multi-billion-rand reconstruction of Cape Town’s Central Line railway, a lifeline for commuters from the Cape Flats that was shut down after widespread vandalism from 2019 onwards.

"Conceived in the interwar years, [Eurafrica] was a plan to replace European colonial competition for Africa’s resources with an internationalised colonialism that would allow Europeans to jointly exploit the continent under what became the EU."

JM Kariuki was murdered in 1975 for imagining a different Kenya that was not defined as a country of ten millionaires and ten million beggars. A parliamentary committee named the killers, and yet nothing happened. That sequence, the naming of the crime, and the inaction that follows became the template for Kenya going forward. The public came to terms with a state that is under no obligation to keep its promises because there was really no consequence for breaking them.

What the colonial government saw as the “insolent” behaviours of the detribalized native – of claiming their right to movement, to determine their own lives, in many ways mirrors our present.
Ruto’s remarks about “treasonous” protestors, whose right to assemble is guaranteed by the constitution, the patronizing statements by brown-nosing leaders about the need to “raise” our teenagers well, the need to discipline them to “respect” a structure that long lost any ounce of humanity, echo the vacuous disciplining broadcasts of the colonial state.

Symbolism as policy. Administration borrows tonnes of money, then gets parliament to pass a law as a Sovereign Wealth Fund . And then kids paraded before cameras to give impression that the math works.. Kids, it's not your fund, it's just a mood board.
Dear @HonWetangula & @HonAmasonKingi please see the court orders attached. My office will serve the pleadings in person by morning. A soft copy is on your emails.

Correct - I'll take it even further - I was watching how Big Food in the US has taken over farming, and this is exactly how it started, to the point where small holder farmers could no longer farm. So to become consumers, Big Food/Big Ag bought farms in the franchise model and
I speak a lot about transitions, and this is part of what I am talking about.
Without Orengo and Martha Karua, there is no "GenZ" and no Mwihaki. But the transitions are broken, so this generation feels like they are starting afresh, rather than continuing the work.
KDHS Data from 2014 shows 19% of girls aged 15-19 had live births. In 2025, more than 7000 teen girls gave birth in Kilifi. Attributed to poverty and harmful cultural practices by elders. Can these clergy and elders tell us what they are doing about this decades long problem?
The original sin of this country was the war of independence that arrived as a negotiated settlement, the betrayal leaving the freedom fighters, the Mau Mau, the youth of that generation, unburied and erased. There is no clearer example than Field Marshal Dedan Kimathi, who was executed by the British on the 18th of February 1957 and buried in an unmarked grave within the grounds of Kamiti Maximum Security Prison. His widow Mukami spent the next 66 years asking one question: Where is my husband’s body?

The 2007/08 Post‑Election Violence (PEV) is widely regarded as a searing watershed in Kenya’s history. For years, the country had been celebrated as an island of peace and stability in Africa, which made the shock all the greater when, from 28 December 2007, less than twenty‑four hours after a fiercely contested presidential poll, violence erupted across the country, leaving more than 1,300 people dead and displacing at least 650,000 others. But this moment fractured something deeper within Kenya. As pointed, a core to the doctrinal logic of the colonial state is its monopoly of violence and the control of it.

In the 21st century, the police have become the law enforcer, jury, and executioner of the people. For the rich, the police are the protector of their assets and wealth, whereas, for the poor, they are criminals in uniforms sanctioned by the state against them. It appears as though the police were created by the rich to police the poor. Police misconduct and abuse of power have been an ongoing debate for a long time due to the series of cases reported worldwide ranging from arbitrary arrests, harassment, torture, enforced disappearances (EDs) and extrajudicial executions (EJE), among other criminal activities.

Abuti, mara why is South Africa's communications machinery creating gaps that can be exploited? SA is always coming to correct falsehoods that have become viral rather than getting ahead of the narrative. It's time to learn from the Macron and Carney book. If there are no security risks, why not release the information yourselves at the time that an agreement was reached?
Given current regional and geopolitical tensions, comms must ASSUME any information can be distorted and misrepresented. So what stops South Africa from proactively releasing a short statement "South Africa welcomes the joint agreement with Ghana to delay the BNC....we appreciate "our friend" Ghana's collaborative spirit in granting our request for the delay. South Africa and Ghana share mutual blah blah blah and we look forward to blah blah blah..." Otherwise you are going to be dribbled by your "friends." Release the stuff and get ahead of the narrative. Especially if there are no state secrets being compromised.
