Naivasha was once a vibrant upscale tourist destination with amazing lodges, camps & hotels … Then came flower farms making Billions in exports but paying peanuts to its slave-like employees. Because of thousands of underpaid flower employees, Naivasha became one big slum city. Then the flower farms collapsed leaving the farms eerily ghostly. Naivasha can now only go back to tourism to survive, yet the only main road, Moi South Lake Road that serves the tourists is in shambles. Annually, @KeRRA_Ke spends Millions if not billions in recarpeting it. It was only three years ago when KeRRA “fully rehabilitated” the road. When I drove on it yesterday, you can see that the tarmac was less than ONE INCH which little rains happily wash it away. When whole Management & Road Engineers of road State Corporations in Kenya be held to account? How do we allow them to be Billionaires whilst they give us ONE INCH TARMAC ROADS? The road looks more of a moon surface than what is claimed to be.
