@JaredMcCLT@mikeystephens81 Yeah because Canada’s best were too busy actually playing in the NHL. Last two tournaments look a lot different with just Bedard, let alone anyone else
@Pishadooer @JohnPloeg1 @LRH_Superfan Based on the Cold War definitions, yes, Ireland was third world, but, contrary to the original comment, so was Switzerland. By colloquial definitions, Ireland is 100% a 1st world nation. It is 7th in HDI, 3rd in GDP per capita, 2nd in labour productivity and 5th in GNI per capita
@Bruce_Whelan@NeilMDavidson@CdnPressNews I’d argue they don’t come at the cost of player development. Players like Callegari who have played at teams like PSG are great for teaching players what’s expected of them at a high level. There are 4 non-Canadians signed to the team, there are plenty of opportunities to play
@Bruce_Whelan@NeilMDavidson@CdnPressNews I have had season tickets all 5 seasons, and went to almost every game. Halifax played great games when Lorenzo was on the pitch. He 100% adds quality. Halifax struggled because of individual errors, not team performance. Halifax was a playoff team based on their chances created
@Bruce_Whelan@NeilMDavidson@CdnPressNews The league is. There is a minimum minute requirement and numerous pathways and additional roster spots for young Canadians. If you ever actually watched a game you would know this. There is nothing wrong with a few international players to bring up the quality of the league.
@AngryCitizenxx@NathanPrindler@EndWokeness My facts stem from the results of the past 2 elections, where they won 0 seats, and won less than 5% of the popular vote in 2021 not 10%. Numbers referenced come from Elections Canada, and the idea that the CPC is taking PPC votes is my opinion based on proposed policy and polls
@AngryCitizenxx@NathanPrindler@EndWokeness There were two elections in that timeframe, and they couldn’t win a seat in either. Bernier lost his seat in 2019 and couldn’t win it back in 2021. Since 2021, the CPC has moved to grab more of the (already small) PPC voter base than it did in either of those elections.
@Magnum1ooo@ringer@BillSimmons -Refs are better than theyve ever been
-The number of long jumpers hasnt increased that much, theyve just stepped back
-They said the travel thing abt the 90s too
-Elite players have longer careers
You stopped watching bc of “woke”, then tried to justify it with bad arguments
@BearsFanJordan@starkcanarie That is all correct, but
1. Those are exactly the type of cameos people were expecting from the Penguin
2. The Penguin is one of HBOs two biggest shows of 2024 - a time of financial struggle - and is connected to a movie, so they could have had more leeway to boost viewership
@BearsFanJordan@starkcanarie There was a full-on Joker (and technically Batman) in Gotham, Iain Glen played Batman in Titans, and we had a version of Batman in the CW shows. The rule can be bent, and it certainly could have been for Matt Reeves, especially given the financial upside for a struggling WB.
@CFBmaps@tylerg2x@TheTrevieTrev It’s not that he loves the lord. It’s that he says crazy stuff.

Here are some examples, and the article doesn’t include him wishing the court tasted like blood, or when he tore his meniscus doing BJJ to punish himself for a loss.
