Have stopped for afternoon tea in Hakone Gora Park on account of it’s hot and everything in this bit of Japan is uphill. Mine came in a glass with a stirrer. The wife’s drink came with a teeny hourglass. Also, ice cream with a Sakura sauce (tastes like cherry blossoms), was epic.
Currently enjoying a trendy coffee shop, so as you can imagine, I fit right in wearing my LUG hoodie and sensible shoes. Nice coffee though. #japanadventures
Going further into the mountains we went to Gora. Where we took a cable car over an opencast sulphur mine on an active volcano, looked at some souvenir’s, then went for lunch. #japanadventures
You know you’re not in Darlo anymore when broccoli is on the breakfast buffet. Luckily there were cornflakes too. Landscape for .. reasons. #japanadventures
@Jooky85 Kinda, those bundles on the left are futon. You roll them out and sleep on them. The mattress part is only about 5cm thick so it’s like sleeping on the floor.
Dinner at the hotel was a buffet. The plate had 9 segments, which, if I’m honest feels more like a target. Was also forced to drink beer by my father-in-law. And forced to eat dessert (not pictured) by my brother-in-law. #japanadventures
