One reason I think we should be cautious about signing Vini Jr, is that when we sign Mbappe in January we will potentially see the same issues with them clashing and that will disrupt the dressing room
Arsenal are defo the best move for Vinícius. Rice, Guimarães, Havertz, Saka will work hard for him defensively. Guimarães (creative passing from deep), Havertz (hold-up play), Saka (creative wing play) will maximise his goal numbers. Perfect conditions for him to be the star man.
If Eze gets his off ball game up, he can be one of the best 8's in the world. He's way more effective the more he touches the ball in build up & specifically in deeper midfield areas, where he can also find space to carry
Odegaard becomes redundant & we sign a new 10 🤷🏾♂️
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea reach verbal agreement with Aston Villa to sign Morgan Rogers. Bid of £117m accepted by #AVFC & being finalised. 6+1y contract, medical Monday. #AFC interested but 23yo attacker wanted #CFC; Xabi Alonso instrumental @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/81YbZw7ELc
Tzolis feels a little bit like trying to buy the guy Bournemouth / Brentford / Brighton buy before they sell him to you two seasons later at twice the price. Obvs harder to establish yourself at a club like Arsenal but I like the thinking.
Not a big fan of the Darlow or the Meslier deal.
You need back-up ‘keepers to be reliable with the ball at their feet otherwise the build-up dynamics collapse.
Just look at Mamardashvili or Bayındır.
You also need them to be reliable ‘keepers.
Think Kinsky, Ortega, Kelleher…
