Today, we joined @UG_Airlines as the national carrier announced the expansion of its African network with new routes to Accra, Ghana, starting 27 October, and Kigali, Rwanda, starting 18 November 2026.

Accra and Kigali offer important links to destinations that remain under-connected to much of Eastern and Southern Africa and are currently unserved directly by Uganda.

This expansion will make it easier for more travellers, investors and business communities to access the Pearl of Africa and experience its wildlife, culture, landscapes, hospitality and adventure.

#Grateful to God and the calm competency and professionalism of Capt. Tonny Tebajanga of @UG_Airlines. In a freak incident mid-air shortly after we left Johannesburg, one half of the windscreen of the plane shattered. @tebsbalis quietly and steadily held the situation even though some of us could tell things were not right, and flew us back to Johannesburg.

Aviation stakeholders undertake Training in Fraud Detection
Today, UCAA in collaboration with the Directorate of Citizenship & Immigration Control conducted a fraud detection and travel document inspection training for airline operators, ground handlers, security agencies and UCAA staff at the UCAA head office in Entebbe.

The training aligns with ICAO Annex 9 – Facilitation standards and strengthens Uganda’s compliance under the USAP-CMA framework.

Over 60 participants were equipped with tools to detect red flags, identify security features in travel documents, and enhance collaboration in preventing fraud. @DCICUg
