The Mohave and Milltown Railway was a narrow gauge private railroad built in 1903. The 17-mile railway hauled ore from the mines near Oatman to the mill at Milltown. The railway operated for only 1 year when several washouts in the fall of 1904 damaged 6 miles of the railway.
Looking ahead - Boxing and Ghost Towns - we have another story coming with Part II - the story of boxing legend - George Lavigne "The Saginaw Kid" and his upbringing around lumber camps - especially around the Ghost Town of Melbourne. - Can't wait to tell the story.

Olive City is a ghost town, steamboat landing & ferry crossing on the Colorado River in what was then Yuma County, AZ Territory from 1863 to 1866. Located on the banks of the Colorado River, 1 mile above its rival Mineral City & 1/2 mile above the original site of Ehrenberg, AZ.

Micky's Gym from the Rocky Movies - ok - I have to admit - I had NO IDEA that they only used the OUTSIDE of this building (in Philadelphia of course) to depict Rocky's old training grounds - the rest was filmed in L.A. (which of course THAT gym was abandoned and now demolished).
