U of M police took the report, gave security a Minneapolis PD sequenced case number, but the case number and the crime are non-existent on the MPD 911 dashboard (pic 4). #CrimeIsDown

Burglary at a residential apartment building at 9:43pm on 9/23/2026: 8xx 13th Ave SE.

Suspect: Black male, black backwards baseball cap with white logo, red hoodie (no zip) with sunglasses hanging from the neck, red socks, maroon and white converse shoes, brown small backpack. 5’10”, average build, 20s-30s.

Stole a resident bicycle locked to the stairway and left behind an orange old bicycle. Resident saw bicycle being stolen and chased down the suspect. Resident on foot was able to get his bicycle back about a block away when they made contact with the suspect.

Police were called and a report was made in person at this address. Case did not show up in the 911 dashboard. University of Minnesota Police took the report, case number 26-276371.
