Our Forefathers crossed rivers, fought wars cleared forests, kept bees and raided for cattles.Their wealth was real. You could touch it,grow it or pass it on.
Today Many of us spend our entire lives chasing pieces of papers and numbers on screens
Dealing with drunk relatives who usually ask for money is very easy , If he asks for 100, give him 500 then tell him to give back 400, he won't bring the balance, next time he wants to ask you for money then he remembers the balance he never refunded🤣🤣🤣
What exactly is Kenya preparing for — war, or hunger?
In the 2026/27 budget, Kenya allocated a staggering KSh 566.9 BILLION to national security, while agriculture — the backbone of the economy and the sector that feeds the nation — received only about KSh 54 BILLION.
Let that sink in.
Key Data Points:
KSh 566.9 BILLION allocated to national security
KSh 54 BILLION allocated to agriculture
Security spending is more than 10 times higher than investment in food production and food security
Meanwhile, millions of Kenyans are already battling the high cost of living, skipping meals, surviving on one meal a day — or none at all.
The uncomfortable truth is that an ordinary Kenyan is far more likely to suffer from hunger, malnutrition, poverty, or economic stress than from a missile attack, war invasion, or terrorist vest. Yet the budget priorities suggest the system fears unrest more than starvation.
Hungry people do not need armored systems before they need affordable food. A nation cannot police its way out of hunger. A people-first government would treat agriculture as national security because food security is human security.
So the real question is: can a country truly call itself secure when its people cannot afford to eat?
