A fuel company is spending $225m on EV charging.
That probably tells you quite a lot about where the car market is heading.
Australian fuel giant Ampol, a company traditionally built around selling petrol and diesel, is buying EV charging company Evie Networks for A$225 million.
The deal will significantly expand Ampol’s EV charging network across Australia.
A company that makes money selling fuel is investing hundreds of millions into infrastructure that allows people to stop buying fuel.
Because fuel companies can see the transition happening and they want to make sure they’re still selling us the energy that powers our cars in the future.
Petrol and diesel aren’t disappearing tomorrow.
But the companies selling them are already preparing for what comes next.
Actions speak louder than words.
"If either party was genuinely concerned about energy prices or the cost of living, we would not be talking about fracking in the Northern Territory. Nor would we be talking about nuclear energy. We would be talking about properly taxing those gas giants." https://t.co/37qrEdCbCy
This consultancy spiv game has to stop. How many of these firms that cost us squillions are taking the piss and both flavours of government just shrug their shoulders and shovel more money to them for bullshit reports giving them answers they want 😡
"The result is not always corruption in the criminal sense. More often it is a slow adjustment of priorities: the electorate becomes one stakeholder among many, while the party machine becomes the condition of survival." David Higginbottom
Angus Taylor accuses universities of not being the best, not good enough and accuses universities of selling a migrant pathway.
Also brings up the Bondi massacre in regard to migration.
I’m so disgusted.
If you must read one essay this year (amongst those freely available on the Internet) this is the one. [And I say this fully cognizant of my claim's seriousness]
Another weak #Insiders program…having Sheridan on makes it excruciating for starters…but how do you discuss the Intergenerational Report without mentioning climate change is just woeful;

Qantas is still bulldozing ahead with the Joyce-era playbook of driving down pay, conditions and job security that left thousands of families shattered.
It takes a lot of courage to stand up to these corporate giants, and I’m proud to back all the brave staff taking action across the country today with the @TWUAus
We need a Qantas that backs its staff and delivers for passengers, not one that puts executive bonuses first.

The honour of all Malcolms is tainted by the useless One Nation senator, this one more than most.
Malcolm Roberts is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Institute of Petroleum
@bobbydoobla Bullshit! Men who punch down on Trans supposedly coz they care about women are pathetic. When you give a rats arse about women being killed by MEN every single week in this country, abused in their homes every single night & calling out men, then I will care what you think.
“Watching Israel’s genocide unfold in Gaza, I have felt tremendous helplessness, a loss of faith in humanity, a rising sense of dread. To watch the wholesale slaughter of human beings in real time for almost three years and then to see the..minimisation…” https://t.co/MU7X2dQiPU
"To watch the wholesale slaughter of human beings in real time for almost 3 years and then to see the obfuscation, the minimisation and the blind eyes turn is not something the nervous system can successfully ballast against." #GazaGenocide#PoetryMonth
