Today, we launched the Student Venture Capital Grant (S-VCG) — a bold step to unlock the creativity and entrepreneurial power of Nigeria’s students, and a move many once thought impossible.
This initiative, anchored firmly within President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR’s Renewed Hope Agenda, will provide up to ₦50 million in equity-free funding, world-class incubation, mentorship, and the tools needed to turn breakthrough ideas into real ventures.
Our students have waited for opportunities like this — and we are proud to deliver it. Every application will be carefully reviewed, with feedback provided to help sharpen and strengthen future submissions. We are building innovators, founders, researchers, and creators who will power Nigeria’s next moonshot.
The problems are here in Nigeria — and the solutions are now here in Nigeria.
In partnership with @TETFundNg, the @bankofindustry, @Afara Initiative, ESDC, @AfriLabs, and @Google, we are igniting a new culture of innovation across our tertiary institutions.
The S-VCG is open to students in all tertiary institutions — public and private — across the country.
To every eligible student:
The portal is open. The competition is tough, but this could be the start of your journey to becoming Nigeria’s next transformational founder.
Apply now — and bring your A+ game.
