최근 상표권과 관련해 명백히 잘못 알려지고 있는 내용에 대해 유감을 표하며 이를 바로잡고자 합니다.

전해진 것과 달리 당사는 '더보이즈 멤버 11인' 전원에게 상표권 무상 사용 권리를 제공키로 하고, 이미 그 뜻을 멤버들에게 전달한 바 있습니다.

더불어 멤버 11인이 동의하는 그 어떠한 활동(유닛 및 개인 활동 등)에서도 상표권을 무상으로 사용할 수 있도록 하고자 하였습니다.

나아가 아직 전속계약이 6개월 가량 남아 있는 한 멤버에 대해서도 새로운 기획사에서의 활동을 지지하는 마음으로 남은 전속계약 기간에 상관 없이 전속계약을 조기 종료키로 하고, 그 의사를 이미 해당 멤버에게 전했습니다.

당사가 상표 무상 사용권을 새로운 소속사가 아닌 '팀의 주체'인 멤버 당사자들에게 제공코자 하였던 것은 향후 멤버들과 팬들의 더욱 깊고 원활한 만남과 활발한 활동을 위한 당사의 고민에 따른 결정이었습니다.

당사는 많은 대중들로부터 사랑을 받고 있는 더보이즈라는 팀의 영속성과 팬과의 장벽 없는 만남을 지지하는 마음에서 무상 사용 권리를 '멤버 당사자'에게 제공하는 것이 더 올바르다고 생각하였습니다.

‘과도한 상표권 값을 요구한 것으로 전해졌다’는 전언과 ‘새로운 회사 측에 통상적인 수준을 넘어서는 요구를 했다’는 전언 역시 사실과 다릅니다. 당사는 오히려 상표권과 관련하여 열린 자세로 다양한 제안을 기다리는 입장이었고, 원활한 인수 인계를 위해 원론적이고 통상적인 이야기만 일부 나눴을 뿐입니다.

당사와 더보이즈의 인연은 아쉽게 마무리되나 더보이즈의 향후 활동에 있어 불편함이 없도록 지원할 것을 약속 드리며 앞으로의 행보를 진심으로 응원하겠습니다.

I know Chanhee and Haknyeon have been receiving a lot of hate. I know the jellies and jusadans are exhausted from watching this whole nightmare unfold. I truly understand the frustration, I really do.

I know you might feel like there’s a sense of them being left behind or forgotten by the fandom or something like that. But please know that true deobis love all 11 members, without exception. Anyone who doesn’t do that is not a deobi.

There is frustration, fear and anger seeing them go through all of this. But they themselves have said that they will always be part of The Boyz, they are The Boyz.

Unfortunately, both New and Haknyeon have a long legal battle ahead of them. These things take time and all 11 members have to be extremely careful about what can and cannot be shared publicly. Even the smallest detail could potentially cause more problems.

Let’s trust the members, just like they have always asked us to and give things the time they need 🙏🏻

A 30 year old man having to publicly explain himself because of some weirdos, sorry but that’s the only word that fits, is completely unacceptable.

As if everything they’ve been through over the past few months wasn’t enough, Younghoon and Hyunjae finally get to appear on a fun show where they can talk about all kinds of things. They trust us enough to even share parts of their private lives in a fun way and some people immediately turn that into another nightmare for them. I don’t even want to imagine the kind of messages they received on Fromm.

1. None of the members’ private lives are our business. They choose what to share, when to share it and whether to share anything at all. If they get hit on, have crushes, are single, are dating, get married or anything else, it’s nobody’s business. It’s their life and theirs alone.

2. None of them, not Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Chanhee, Changmin, Eric, Sunwoo, Jacob, Kevin, Sangyeon or Haknyeon is ever going to date any of you. They are not going to be your boyfriend or your future husband. They’re not secretly interested in you. You’re not their best friend. Stop acting like you’re the y/n because you’re not. Please accept that.

It’s long past time to respect their privacy, stop this unhealthy parasocial behavior and appreciate the trust and love they continue to show their fans. Seeing grown women behave as if they have ownership over any of these 11 men is genuinely embarrassing.

I truly hope they don’t lose the trust they’ve always had in deobis because of people who shouldn’t even be called fans. It’s time to pay more attention to the real world instead of living in a fantasy.
