Important side note! I keep seeing people bring up "Imagine telling someone with epilepsy/seizures to just control it" in response to these situations and I regret to inform you all that they do infact do this to us as well 💔 None of us are free!
I would just like to say I have never seen y’all target white queer and trans people who are nonbinary, different, or don’t fit traditional ideas of passing the way y’all have tried to bash, attack, and bully me. Just keep that in mind, because it’s very interesting.
Y’all would have done the same thing to Marsha P. Johnson if she was alive today because let me remind you, she did not fit into a strict binary and she was different. Y’all also did it to Sylvia Rivera while she was alive.
It’s honestly important to look in the mirror and remember what the queer and trans community is supposed to be about. We are supposed to be about liberation, love, respect, and understanding, not tearing down people who don’t fit into a box.
I’m speaking to both the trans and c*s people attacking me: change your hearts or die to the hatred you carry. Find empathy, reflect on your actions, and remember the humanity in others.
This is Linda Davis, a special education teacher who was killed in a car crash involving ICE agents
The agents didn’t render aid.
She was minutes from her school and bled to death in her car.
They didn’t offer aid to Renee Good or Alex Pretti either.
Say her name too.
Keith Porter’s murder wasn’t captured on camera, so it’s allowing ICE to sweep it under the rug, but we need to keep talking about him just as much as we talk about Renee Good and Alex Pretti. None of us are safe from this campaign of state violence.
Your reminder:
Palantir was contracted by ICE to build a database to track Americans using their cell phone location data, private financial, health and travel data, social media posts, political donations and more.
We are living in a surveillance state controlled by fascists.

I’m writing this from Minnesota.
These are just a few things that may not be making the national or international news.
a beloved local donut shop Glam Doll Donuts across the street from where Alex Pretti died turned into a warming house and medic center for protestors building and maintaining the memorial site.
a 70yo independent bookstore owner DreamHaven Books down the street expressed his pain on camera, walked through a tear gas cloud, and his website crashed less than 24 hours later from too much business and donations.
the day after tear gas bombs destroyed a N-Mpls neighborhood sending a 6mo old baby to the hospital, at daybreak, a small church community cleaned up the mess of pepper balls, tear gas containers and trash so the neighbors didn’t have to wake up to the memories.
a local independent journalist Mercado Media pounding the streets everyday reporting things from the ground had a testicle removed and showed up two days later to walk with 75,000+ community members to walk the streets in -20 degree weather.
a local sex-positive adult-store The Smitten Kitten has completely transformed into a donation and distribution center.
a local pizza place Wrecktangle Pizza raised over $83K in less than a few days to support families that are sheltering in place.
tow-truck companies are donating their services to clean up the accidents and abandoned vehicles left by ICE and the city is waiving impound fees.
local multi-faith spiritual leaders are spearheading sit-ins at corporate headquarters such as Target and USBank to have deeper conversations with CEOs and boards of directors about community relief.
social workers are taking in children who came home from school with both their parents “disappeared.”
animal shelters and pet-fostering agencies are rescuing pets left alone for days or weeks after their humans were detained.
every restaurant, church, karate dojo, dance studio, school, barber shop, and other small business has created their own underground grassroots supportive network to protect their neighbors, get people to and from work, and raise funds to pay everyday bills.
women who are moms and work full-time jobs are donning reflective vests in shifts to stand watch at bus stops, city parks, and grocery store parking lots ini sub-zero temps to bear witness before going home to tuck their babies in at night.
the MN National Guard offered donuts, coffee, and hot cocoa to peaceful protesters the day after Alex Pretti died, reminding community that we are all in this together and they are here to keep the peace.
These are just a few examples. Stories like this are happening in the hundreds here, every single day!
Community is EVERYTHING!
This Substack community and the MN-Strong resistance has saved my mental health these last weeks.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for giving a shit.
I love you.
I actually dont care if he saved puppies from a burning house while curing cancer in a steel mill.
You do NOT have to be a “good person” for it to still be WRONG for the police to kill unarmed people. I’m NOT going to play into that
The officer who shot Alex worked for DHS for 8 years. The officer who shot Renee worked for DHS for over 10 years. Both are considered “highly trained.”
The problem isn’t "training." DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity. We must MELT ICE and dismantle DHS.
ICE is not an aberration, it’s not an isolated entity, it’s an outgrowth/extension of US policing born from slave patrols. You cannot address ICE w/o also addressing policing… w/o also addressing the military… w/o also addressing capitalism… w/o also addressing imperialism
Due to a severe lack of donations, we are no longer able to support Sudanese community kitchens at the level we used to. These kitchens are a lifeline. They are how families eat when there is nothing else. Right now that lifeline is weakening.
Donations have slowed to the point where our operations are being interrupted. This is not because the need has gone away. It is because fewer people are seeing our work and fewer people are able or willing to give. The result is that support for some of the most vulnerable Sudanese families is being reduced at the worst possible time.
We also support Palestinian families who have no access to aid through any official channels. These are people who cannot get help from NGOs, governments, or large charities. What we provide may be the only support they receive.
If you cannot donate, please share this. Post it on your social media. Tell people what we do. Tell them we support Sudanese and Palestinian people who have been completely abandoned. Visibility alone can save lives. One share can reach someone who is able to give. One explanation can bring aid back into motion.
We do not have the luxury of silence. If this work stops, people go hungry. Please help us keep it going in any way you can.
DHS deleted this one because:
-The family was driving home and got blocked.
-ICE deployed flashbangs and tear gas INSIDE the car.
-The 6-month old child stopped breathing and had to be rushed to hospital.
DHS did NO investigation & rushed to lie to defend the officers.
There are no words. ICE agents ate lunch at a small local Mexican restaurant in Minnesota, enjoyed their meal, then came back later that night as the restaurant was closing down and arrested the people who had served them.
Stay aware, alert, and prepared.
https://t.co/UJrCV7AdoB is an informative site where you can see real time witness reports of ICE and their locations: observed, active, and critical.
It is more important than ever to share these resources. Do not ignore what is happening.
A story from a Minnesota pastor. Pretty sure we don’t want untrained ICE goons dictating what happens in our emergency rooms. Our tax dollars are paying for this by the way.
