Happy Draft Day!
Some morning notes:
- Flames talked to Sabres to move up to No.4
- Blues been dangling 1sts
- Leafs tried, and will continue to try, to take big swings
- Hard to get specifics but noise around Vegas
- More talk around Elias Pettersson
- Sens tried for McTavish
For the third time in franchise history, the @MapleLeafs will make the first overall pick at the #NHLDraft!

The expectation is that Matthew Knies will remain a Leaf and stay in Toronto. Price tag to get him is extremely high. Chayka has made it clear to Knies they haven’t engaged in any talks that would have them close to trading him.
The Maple Leafs have made another change behind the bench.
Hearing assistant coach Mike Van Ryn won't be returning after spending the past three seasons with the organization.
