Last week, we welcomed students to another season of fun as they began activities both in and out of the classroom.
Our 1st to 3rd graders took a field trip to the Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast!

Making Observations Rocks!
May was all about petrology, the study of rocks for students in GYAC's Science Explorer's Club. With Ms. Jasmin's help, students learned about weathering, igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks, and minerals. 🪨🔍
This year, our students trained hard, performed at Riverside Theatre, and competed at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta. To wrap it all up, they enjoyed a special trip to see "The Lion King" on Broadway 🦁. None of this would be possible without your support!

GYAC's Beyond Special K program will be hosting a community giveaway this Saturday, March 15th, from 10 am - 2 pm. With a wide range of items available, including medical supplies and equipment, clothing of all shapes and sizes, and many more items.
GYAC's Kindness Rally was a big hit! We volunteered at Shining Light Garden and surprised seniors and homebound individuals at Sunset Apartments with a sweet surprise.
As part of our GYAC Kindness Rally on Monday, February 17th, OneBlood's Big Red Bus will be stationed in front of GYAC from 9 AM - noon. Community members are invited to come and donate blood!
Support GYAC on Thursday, January 30 by wearing your favorite pajama pants! Your 1.00 donation will be collected upon entering campus Thursday morning!
SDIRC was proud to be represented at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Banquet at @myGYAC. Several teachers and staff members attended this meaningful event. Special shoutout to Sebastian Elementary’s inaugural flag corps and chorus for their incredible performances!

🦃 Thanksgiving Closure
📅 Our office will be closed on Thursday, November 28th, and Friday, November 29th, in observance of Thanksgiving. We hope everyone has a beautiful holiday. We will return to the office and our regular Afterschool programming on Monday, December 2nd.
