Is software UI design dead?

Before, software UI design was about shiny buttons and smooth animations. We cared about nice colors, small clicks, and everything feeling human. For many years, that was the goal: make it look good, make it feel good.

But now, things are changing.

Software in the future will not care about nice buttons. It will not care about people clicking or swiping. Because users are not human anymore. They are agents. Invisible workers. They do not click. They do not wait.

An agent does not open a website and press a button to make ten campaigns. It just says, “Make ten campaigns,” and it happens. No forms. No pop-ups. No waiting.

OpenClaw cannot log in and do steps like a person. In a new agent-first system, the agent only needs to send the command. That is all.

This is a new type of interface.

It is not for people.
It is for agents.

We can call it ACX: Agent Control Experience. CLI is the most simple ACX.

Software without a CLI or agent interface will be old and forgotten. Shiny buttons will be something we remember in the past.
