Suffering is universal; how we react to suffering is individual. Suffering can take us one of two ways. It can be a strengthening & purifying experience combined with faith, or it can be a destructive force in our lives if we do not have the faith in the Lord’s atoning sacrifice
THREAD: Today I talked to Willie Simmons, who has spent the last 38 years in prison for stealing $9. He was convicted of 1st degree robbery & sentenced to life without parole in 1982, prosecuted under Alabama's habitual offender law because he had 3 prior convictions. 1/12
This Christmas I wanted to do something cool for two of my teachers. Both of them are super good examples to me and are overall great teachers/people! So I reached out to local businesses and raised enough to give them both $1,000 this Christmas, S/O to all the great teachers!
@nat__526 @trombone_aggie @thebraingrenade @ashleykewish@KSL5TV Overall this boy didn’t deserve this and whoever did it was cruel. We don’t have enough knowledge about the situation to point fingers
@nat__526 @trombone_aggie @thebraingrenade @ashleykewish@KSL5TV I’m not claiming it wasn’t anyone from our church. Neither of us know who it was. Sure, there may be members who aren’t the best. I’m not talking about who did this to this boy at all. Just trying to clear some understandings.
@peachesnana@nat__526 @trombone_aggie @thebraingrenade @ashleykewish@KSL5TV Just because someone’s a member of the church doesn’t mean you’re automatically righteous and call yourself that. Being a member just means you want to strive for righteousness and believe it’s good. I am a member and I make mistakes. There’s an in between in what you’re saying.
