what bothers me about this scene is that Adrien is acknowledging that his father hurt him in so many ways, yet the first thing Dr. Psiquat tells him is that he needs to go ask around and look for answers elsewhere instead of first validating his feelings.

and it's even more concerning because: does she actually know Adrien's circle? how does she know that it will be beneficial for him, a child in a psychologically vulnerable situation, to ask other ppl about his father? what guarantees her that they'll be honest with him and not tell him whatever is most convenient for them (WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED)?

i'm saying this obviously based only on the little we've seen of Adrien in therapy (literally just this scene lol) and knowing that giving Adrien that answer was also convenient for the whole lie plot, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating that somehow everyone keeps invalidating Adrien's feelings... no one is actually able to tell him "it's okay if you feel like you hate your father, it's okay if you think he was a bad person" because, at the end of the day, Adrien was Gabriel's main victim and the one who had to live with him EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. !!! and yet everyone thinks they know better than him who Gabriel Agreste was
