California called for help to neighboring states for firefighters, “Did all those fire rigs and personnel go straight to the fire lines? No, they did not. They went to Sacramento.”

“Why? Because California says if you send us your fire rig, it must first go to Sacramento for an inspection by Cal Fire. And only if it passes the inspection. And apparently it's taking some time”

“Some of the crews have been held up. Only then does it go to Pacific Palisades and start fighting those fires in Los Angeles”
