30 tahun berlalu, tetapi kasus pembunuhan wartawan Harian Bernas, Fuad Muhammad Syafruddin (Udin), masih belum menemukan kepastian.

Udin meninggal pada 16 Agustus 1996 setelah tiga hari koma akibat dianiaya orang tak dikenal di teras rumah kontrakannya di Bantul. Semasa hidup, ia dikenal getol mengungkap dugaan penyalahgunaan dana daerah hingga dugaan suap yang melibatkan pejabat di Bantul.

Kini, upaya menolak lupa kembali digaungkan melalui Festival Udin 2026, yang diinisiasi AJI Yogyakarta dengan tema “30 Tahun Kasus Udin: Menolak Bungkam, Melawan Perusakan Lingkungan.”

Digelar di Concert Hall ISI Yogyakarta, festival ini menghadirkan diskusi, pemutaran film dokumenter, pameran poster bertajuk “Bersama Penyaksi Bersaksi”, lapak UMKM, hingga pertunjukan musik dari musisi independen yang menyuarakan isu-isu marginal.
