#BaiJingTing: When we first engaged this project (#TheFirstFrost), it posed a great challenge to me. I did some homework and preparation, and (read) the novel. One major helpful factor is that, before our drama adaptation, there have already been other excellent interpretations of this novel, which gave me great inspiration!

It included the understanding of many readers toward this novel, which also gave me great support to better understand the character.

Besides reading the novel, I also listened to the audio novel, read the Manhua, and watched the Animation (still an ongoing release). These have been very beneficial for me.

Many readers have already established their own understanding and interpretation of (Sang Yan) so I actually read a great number of evaluations from everybody.

Based on the perspective of the readers — how is the character like? — I did my best to understand how everyone feels towards the character. Then, through the approach of adapting a character from a (non-film medium) into a drama adaptation, we help the audience to accept this adaptation. This process was actually quite difficult but I enjoyed it, because while understanding the novel, listening to the audio novel, and watching the animation, I was also healed at the same time.
